Our Asian Inspiration: Take Your Taste Buds on a Trip

Whistler's #1 noodle joint

Now that we’ve been open for a few weeks, we’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has popped by, tried something on the menu and given us feedback about Whistler’s new noodle joint. We’re thrilled with the response we’ve been getting from our wonderful community!

Eating at Main Street Noodles is like bringing your taste buds on a trip around Asia. Take a look at our Asian inspiration for a few of our menu items:

Chow Mein with Beef

We couldn’t have built a noodle joint without some specialty dishes from the world’s most populous country. Known for their use of ginger, soy and sesame, Chinese inspiration comes through in our Chow Mein (pictured above), Kung Pao and Main Street Signature dishes.

Each are delicious in their own way, with a different type of noodle to suit your noodle needs.

Red Thai Curry and Pad Thai

Going to Thailand and not getting street-side noodles would be a sin in our eyes. The Thai people’s use of lime, garlic and chili are combined to make fresh, spicy and mouth-watering dishes. Take your taste buds to Thailand with our tamarind based Pad Thai or our creamy coconut Red Thai Curry (pictured above). Both are made with rice noodles and as spicy as your mouth can handle.

Beef Pho

How could we pass up the ultimate comfort Vietnamese classic, Pho. A rich and tasty rice noodle soup that Whistler’s been missing all along. Our Pho is made with a house beef broth, fresh veggies, thinly sliced rare beef, green onions and cilantro. Move over, ramen, there’s a new soup in town.

Fried Rice

A classic staple for Indonesians is Fried Rice, which also happens to inhabit our menu and is pictured above. Don’t mistake this for the first meal you learned how to make when you moved out of your parent’s house, we’ve stepped it up a notch with a super tasty soy and sesame sauce, fresh (not frozen) veggies, egg, garlic, ginger, sprouts and green onions.

Also known for their wide use of peanuts and coconut milk, our inspiration for the Satay dish on our menu came straight out of Indonesia. You’ll go bananas for that peanut and coconut milk sauce tossed with udon noodles and fresh veggies.

Chili Beef Noodles

Mongolians love meat, which was a main consideration when creating our Crispy Chili Beef. With inspiration from an authentic Mongolian rice meal, this dish is rich and fulfilling. Main Street Noodles makes it with brown rice, sweet & spicy crispy beef, fresh veggies, green onions and sesame seeds.
